Official Launch of the Talent Plus Project

Edmundston (NB), December 4, 2018 – Diversis inc. is proud to announce the official launch of the New Brunswick Talent PlusTM pilot project.

This project seeks to optimize the economic success of New Brunswick immigrants by exposing them to economic integration opportunities available across the province. More specifically, it will contribute to build the entrepreneurial capacity of immigrants; support their economic integration through employment or entrepreneurship; and increase their retention.

“NB is attracting more and more immigrants. However, their retention in the province remains a challenge. Too often they leave without being exposed to the opportunities that exist across the province. This new project will showcase all available employment and entrepreneurship opportunities as well as key information and tips on business culture to maximize their economic success here in NB.” says Lori-Ann Cyr, CEO of Diversis.

“Immigrants drive innovation and help employers meet labour market needs. They play a key role in Canada’s success by supporting our diverse society, culture and economy. Diversis Inc.’s pilot project is the sort of initiative that will ensure immigrants integrate and contribute to our economy and our communities.” Matt DeCourcey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Available in both official languages, this new project will offer one-day economic integration training, online training modules as well as private coaching. According to Mohammad, a former participant to a Diversis “Economic Integration 101” training session, it enlightened him on concrete steps to be taken in order to achieve economic integration in Canada. “The training made me understand what we need to be competitive. It opened my eyes and gave me answers that I was looking for a long time.”

The first series of training sessions will be offered this month in Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton, Saint John and Edmundston. To find out about the program and who can access this service, visit : TalentNB.ca
